Earl "Buck" Hensley

a shuttered coal town in West Virginia

Earl "Buck" Hensley has been navigating the deserted roads of Dry Hollow, West Virginia, long enough to know every bump, every abandoned mine entrance, every porch light that's still lit out of habit. The wrecker soundtracks his life as he works tirelessly, ensuring that the sparse threads of his once-bustling community are held together; his mechanical work a lifeline. Haunted by the click of hospital floors, his mind wrestles with thoughts of the last clinic threatening closure and the son who remains a ghost in his life since the mines dried up.
