Faisal Khan

a roadside village along the Karakoram Highway, Pakistan

Faisal Khan, at 21, is a railroad switch operator in a small village along the Karakoram Highway, a path twined through valleys overshadowed by imposing mountains. After the sudden loss of his wife Amina, Faisal's life is divided between the precision of tracks and the silence of his empty home. Every day begins with a cup of tea and whispered conversations to Amina, beneath the unwavering stillness of a stopped clock, leaving him to wrestle between the rhythms of his duties and the straining laments of personal loss.
