Hasan Khalil

a refugee settlement outside Amman, Jordan

Hasan has spent decades as a barber for a detention facility, keenly aware of the communal necessity for practicality and precision. Raised amidst the rusting landscapes of refugee camps, he transformed this environment into his artistic playground. A consistent listener to the same cassette tape each night, he's haunted by the memories of those he's met.
