Hendrik "Hennie" van Rensburg

Hennie wakes before first light, the creak of old bones accompanying his shuffle to the kettle. The workshop behind the harbour is both sanctuary and burden, each rusted truck a testament to the years he's seen pass like waves in his fishing village. The lake incident was years ago, a mystery that tugs at the corners of his mind, but mostly he's reminded by the harsh sea winds and worn-out fishermen that things inevitably fall apart without someone to care.
