Ramon "Mon" Dalangin
a terraced rice village in Banaue, Philippines
Ramon "Mon" Dalangin has spent the better part of three decades crisscrossing the terraced landscape of Banaue with his trusty old trunk. Each dawn begins with a quiet, steaming bowl of rice and a mental map of the day's route. He's developed an intimate knowledge of the wear and tear on his body against unforgiving terrains, collecting smooth pebbles from every overnight pursuit as a mnemonic for each singular rest stop, every weathered encounter, and transient village bond.
